'The Office' Update: Babies and Movies on the Way!

There's a baby on the way for "The Office" star Jenna Fischer!

Possibly inspired by her role as new mom Pam Halpert on the hit NBC comedy, the 37-year-old actress will be welcoming a bundle of joy later this year. This will be the first child for Fischer and husband, screenwriter Lee Kirk.

Since her character gave birth, Jenna has been spending some quality time with her on-set child. "They got the cutest [babies] in town to play our baby," the actress said, "Pretty much any time we get to see baby Cece is great." She's also stepped-up her mommy-practice since recently becoming an aunt.

Change is on the horizon for "The Office" employees, as Steve Carell bid adieu to Dunder Mifflin and went in search of greener pastures (and several lucrative movie projects). While we brace for next season's changes, here's a look at what the Scranton residents have been up to in their down time.

Actor John Krasinski, who plays new father and Fischer's on-screen husband Jim Halpert, is keeping busy with multiple movie projects. His film "Something Borrowed," also starring Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson, is in theaters now, and he reportedly has three additional projects in the works.

B.J. Novak, who plays Ryan Howard, the on-again, off-again love interest of office motor mouth Kelly, has lent his vocal talents to the upcoming movie, "The Smurfs." Voicing the part of Baker Smurf, we can't wait to see his little blue likeness scamper across the screen.

Writer and actress Mindy Kaling, who plays incessant talker Kelly Kapoor, will be starring alongside Emily Blunt and Jason Segel in the upcoming film, "Five-Year Engagement." We're anxious to see what becomes of the Ryan/Kelly relationship; they announced their divorce (though they never announced their marriage) at the end of last season, but somehow we doubt that's the end of the couple.

Phyllis Smith, who plays the oft-insulted Phyllis Vance, will be joining the all-star cast of the upcoming film "Butter." Olivia Wilde, Hugh Jackman, Ashley Greene, Alicia Silverstone, and Jennifer Garner have all been linked to the film, so Phyllis should be in good company. In the meantime, her film "Bad Teacher," starring Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake is due out this summer.
