Jurors Watch Surveillance Video of Casey Anthony Using Stolen Checks

At the time she told police she was looking for her 2-year-old daughter, Casey Anthony used a friend's checkbook to buy groceries, bras, sunglasses and beer.

Although the thefts are legally behind her ? she pleaded guilty to check fraud in January 2010 ? the surveillance videos surfaced Friday in the murder trial of the Florida mom.

When the prosecution sought to introduce the videos, lead defense attorney Jose Baez stood up to object in the Orlando courtroom.

"They are irrelevant," he told judge. He argued that the defense had conceded that Anthony, now 25, was not looking for daughter Caylee, whose remains were later found.

The defense has claimed Casey knew her daughter was dead ? Casey says it was an accidental drowning ? but was in denial.

"These videos are not intended to show her state of mind," countered prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick. "They don't show her mood. They show her actions."

The judge agreed. Jurors watched the videos intently while a sullen-looking Anthony avoided the gaze of the jury.
