Plot: While on a trip to France, a young engaged couple (Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams) ponder whether the illusion of a life different from their own is better.

Upside: A romantic comedy with elements of magical realism and time travel, it has an engaging premise, capturing the enchanting beauty of the City of Light.
Downside: The familiar dialogue here makes one long for something closer to the edginess of Manhattan or the offbeat humor of Vicky Christina Barcelona.
