Don't be so hard on yourself, Katie! We think you did a fantastic job!
Earlier today, we learned that Katie Couric will be leaving her position as chair of CBS Evening News for another opportunity.
Now, Katie has spoken up about her time as anchor, and she's admitted that she's made some mistakes:
"I would have given people what they were used to, a traditional newscast. And then as they got to know me and got more comfortable, then I would?ve started toying with the format and trying new things."
"I think we were overly ambitious. We probably would have been better off playing it a little safer."
As we said before, Katie, we think you were wonderful! We're excited to see where you end up next.
