Dan Foden admits he split up with reality star Kerry Katona over Easter because he hated her lifestyle.

Kerry, 30, and Dan first stepped out together last month, but the Take Me Out contestant called time on the relationship because he'd had enough of Kerry's 'showbiz bubble'.

'Kerry's world is just too mad,' says Dan, 28.

The former Atomic Kitten star was hoping he'd be a new father figure to children Molly, 9, Lily Sue, 8, Heidi, 4, and Max, 3 - but Dan just wanted to date, he didn't feel ready to play dad.

'Kerry's always been desperate for a strong family unit,' says Now's source.

'Especially with her ex Mark Croft being as erratic as he is.'

Now, despite their brief liaison, Dan's hoping for a career in the media.

'He's told friends he wants to get modelling and personal appearance work and maybe a column,' reveals our insider.

'He keeps talking about how Alex Reid raised his profile during his marriage to Jordan.'
