Charlie Sheen made a trip to California in the middle of his live tour with the hope of regaining custody from ex Brooke Mueller.LOS ANGELES - Charlie Sheen's estranged wife was the winning party after a tense child custody showdown with the fired "Two and a Half Men" actor Tuesday morning.
Brooke Mueller, 33, smiled and hugged her lawyer after an hourlong court hearing behind closed doors.
Her mom, Moira Fiore, flashed a thumbs-up sign after speaking with the mother of Sheen's twin 2-year-old boys, Bob and Max.
Sheen, 45, looked somber by comparison and didn't speak to reporters as he exited the court in a mad dash for an 11:30 a.m. private flight to his show in Washington Tuesday night.
Sheen made a trip to California in the middle of his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" live tour with the hope of regaining custody after Mueller missed a drug test Friday.
The judge sided with Mueller and didn't change the private custody agreement.
Mueller - who wore a silk Pucci shirt, black skirt and nervous expression to court - admitted a February relapse in earlier paperwork but ignored questions Tuesday about reports she fell off the wagon last week.

The rumors got a boost when TMZ posted video of her trying to hock an expensive men's watch at a seedy pawn shop in a drug-infested area of Los Angeles last Thursday.
Her mom and maternal aunt kept Mueller company in court as Sheen pulled up in a black Rolls Royce, wearing a black suit, white shirt, tie and sunglasses.
Goddess Natalie Kenly escorted him to the courtroom door and then waited outside.
Within minutes, Judge Hank Goldberg announced he planned to clear the courtroom and seal the proceeding "in the best interest of the children" due to "questions of abuse" and "other inflammatory and emotional material."
Sheen's lawyer agreed but not without a quick jab at Mueller.
"I find it ironic that on March 1st, 2011, the respondent came in without notice to Mr. Sheen, and she didn't seem to have any regard for the best interest of the minor children," Mark Gross said, referring to paperwork made public with Mueller's restraining order against Sheen.
"Now that she has failed to appear for (drug) testing...she wants this sealed based upon the best interest of the children," he said. "We think it's a dollar short and a day late."
As the sparring spouses made their cases behind closed doors, Mueller's mom waited to be called as a potential witness.
She submitted a declaration to the judge saying she and her sister were caring for the boys and providing stability around the clock while Mueller worked on her recovery.
"I have been since they were born," she told the News.
