Amy Childs: I wasn't the reason Peter Andre split from Elen Rivas

The Only Way Is Essex's Amy puts the record straight

Amy Childs admitted last year that she thinks Peter Andre is 'brilliant' and 'gorgeous'

The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs insists her relationship with Peter Andre is innocent and she had nothing to do with his split from Elen Rivas last week.

Before the break-up, Pete, 38, and Amy were snapped cosying-up on an Essex night out, whispering and flirting while Elen and Amy's boyfriend Joe were nowhere to be seen.

'We're really good friends and were catching up, as I hadn't seen him since Elen Rivas' party in January,' says Amy, 20.

'We had a good night at Sugar Hut and were there to support Pete's brother Mike, who was DJing.

'In one picture, it looked like we were close, but the truth is I couldn't hear him over the music - that's why my ear was in his face!

'My boyfriend Joe was really upset by the stories and I know it wasn't nice for him to read.'
