Kelly Osbourne found it ''awkward and hilarious'' when her mother Sharon Osbourne pulled off a man's wig at Sir Elton John's Oscars party.

The showbiz matriarch and daughter Kelly Osbourne couldn't resist causing some mischief at last month's glitzy Los Angeles bash, much to the amusement of the 'Fashion Police' host.

Speaking about the party, Kelly said: "I had an amazing time with my mum - it was great.

Turns out it was a toupee, which she immediately put back on his head and patted before going on her way. Totally awkward but completely hilarious.

"For some reason, mum decided it'd be funny to give a little tug on everyone's hair as we walked past all the tables. We had such a giggle - until she tugged one man and his hair came clean off!

Kelly recently filled in for her mum on US TV show 'The Talk' and was pleased her surroundings were like a home-from-home.

She wrote in her column for Closer magazine: "My mum was doing 'America's Got Talent' auditions last week so I filled in for her on 'The Talk'. I got to see her dressing room - it's so comfy, like an extension of mum and dad's home."
