Lady Gaga turned heads sporting a custom-designed gown made entirely from beef at the 2010 MTV Music Awards, but blew the whistle on 'Gaga' brand ice cream.Lady Gaga is none-too-pleased with a store called The Icecreamists in Convent Gardens, Central London that has been selling human breast milk ice cream flavored with lemon zest and vanilla branded "Baby Gaga" -- something the singer described as a "nausea-inducing" product.
She threatened legal action this week and wrote the store owner, Matt O'Connor, demanding it be pulled from the shelves, according to British newspaper the Guardian.
O'Connor didn't seem too put off by the possible pending litigation.
"This from a woman with a penchant for wearing rotting cows' flesh," said O'Connor, taking a jab at Gaga's custom-made MTV Video Music Awards gown last year, designed entirely from beef strips. "At least our customers are still alive when they contribute to our art."
But Gaga may not have much to worry about.
The day after it went on sale, inspectors from Westminster Council's food standards confiscated the remaining scoops of Baby Gaga ice cream to determine whether it met health standards, fearful it could contain strains of the hepatitis virus.
O'Connor dismissed the claim, saying the donor "is a registered blood donor. So she has been screened both by us and a clinic."
