Investigators seek suspect in Lancaster shooting

Eleazar Lopez Morales, 43, allegedly fired two shots into an acquaintance's back with a .22 calibre rifle at a home in the 9600 block of West Avenue B, Antelope Acres, about 10 miles west of Lancaster, on Thursday at 10:05 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office. Investigators are looking for a gunman suspected of shooting a man in Lancaster in a dispute over a woman, deputies said Friday.

Eleazar Lopez Morales, 43, allegedly fired two shots into an acquaintance's back with a .22 calibre rifle at a home in the 9600 block of West Avenue B, Antelope Acres, about 10 miles west of Lancaster, on Thursday at 10:05 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office.

The victim is in critical condition, according to deputies.

Morales allegedly fled on foot after the shooting and was last seen heading into the desert at 96 th Street West and Avenue B. He is considered dangerous, but it was unknown if he was armed, according to deputies.

Morales was last seen wearing wearing blue jeans and a dark jacket and was carrying a blanket. He is approximately 5-foot-4, 160 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.

Morales used to live in Long Beach and has several friends there, deputies said.
