These are the people upon which the 22 million employees who use IT in their daily work rely upon for the creation, implementation and operation of systems, services and communications, forming the backbone of companies across the UK but just 23% of the IT workforce is female, across the UK?s working population this figure almost doubles to 45% (source: e-skills UK report March 2009, Women in IT scorecard).

The everywoman in Technology Awards, a partner of The NextWomen with our CEO Simone Brummelhuis on the judging panel, were launched to demonstrate this profession holds a wealth of career opportunities for women and they will shine the spotlight on women who are enjoying successful careers. These women will become role models ? inspiring more women to excel or choose technology as a career option.

This Awards Programme will culminate in a glittering Awards ceremony and luncheon to be held on 22 March 2011, in central London.
